I mainly
work digitally using both traditional illustration skills and Photoshop to
construct images. I enjoy working with paint and pencils but I also like to
incorporate a digital approach by including photographic images that I have
taken and developed.
My
current practice has led me to explore the ‘nature morte’ genre, and I have
experimented with digital media to create images of flowers, exploring what
they represent and their life cycle.
I like
to start with an idea and let it grow in order to create a number of
interesting and contrasting artworks. I enjoy layering my own images and then
using this as a starting point for more work whether in illustration or
painting.
